11mm Duct Rod

FRP duct rod is mainly composed of core rod and reinforced outer layer. The rod body is made of alkali-free glass fiber through the pultrusion process, which has the characteristics of strong toughness, large pulling force, not easy to break, and anti-aging. The outer layer is made of highly durable, scratch-resistant ABS, which protects the core from mechanical damage. In addition, we can also produce 11mm duct rods with metal wire. This 11mm duct rod is also called a traceable duct rod or a detectable duct rod. Using a piece of copper or steel wire, the pipe rod can be traced easily through the pipe. After the fiberglass pole is produced, we will install removable copper heads on both sides of the pole to pull the rope into the pipe or conduit.

Using 11mm duct rods:

Pull the catheter rod tip out of the spool and through the pilot hole on the rod frame

Slowly feed the rod into the cable duct, manhole or conduit

Manually push the duct rod through the duct - additional force is required to get into the elbow

If the conduit length exceeds the length of the conduit rod, attach the additional length of rod

When the duct rod reaches the far end of the duct, attach a pull cord or guy wire to the tip of the duct rod

From the entry end of the conduit, pull the conduit rod out of the conduit and back into the frame. Do not use mechanical methods to pull the catheter stem out of the catheter

Remove the pull cord or guy wire from the end of the conduit/conduit rod and thread the end of the conduit rod through the eyelet and back into the frame
